A wonderful week!

Here was the view for the week, quite glorious, not even a drop of rain. PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketGracie... being the cutie that she is. :)

PhotobucketAnd my precious parents. Getting to spend the week with them was wonderful. It's just so refreshing to be in the presence of older, wiser people sometimes. Mom and Dad, I had so much fun with you and LOVED being with you. Love you both SO much.

And... we went to the Track of course.  Dad came down the track backwards the first night. And yes, I said the first night, we went TWICE.  :) Actually I think some of us went three times.  Some of us families never quite grow out of putt putt, go carts and arcades.  We did all three, multiple times. Especially the arcade.  Yes, Our two families combined spent enough time to bring home an oversized, floor keyboard.  With the combined forces of 12 peoples luck, lots of tokens, and 4000 tickets, we brought home a PIANO, that you play with your feet.  We were so pumped up and felt like true winners, lucky winners, as if we'd won the lottery or something. Then on the way home, we calculated the money spent to get all those tokens... yeah, a wopping $80 bucks. So I guess, in reality, we bought an $80 floor piano. But man oh man did we feel like winners.  This will defintely make the  "can you believe we..." list next year.  Our families have been vacationing together every summer for over 20 years so we have a LONG "Can you believe we..." list.   It consists of things like: "Can you believe we fit 10 people in that 900sqft house for a whole week?" "Can you believe we drove 2 hours to slide down a rock into 40 degree water in the rain?" "Can you believe George got knocked off the Gocarts, AGAIN?" The list goes on and on and on.
PhotobucketPhotobucketWe met up with Dixie and Elena one night at the track! Such a treat

Family photos in the Harbor...
PhotobucketPhotobucketThis picture is a tradition and was once a pic where the moms said, "ok yall line up shortest to tallest..." This also meant we were in order from oldest to youngest... not so much anymore...I have been surpassed by almost everyone... I am afraid that in the next year or two, Ill have moved for the last time. I once started the line, but Ill be finishing it. :) and the order will be set, for a lifetime.

Vacation Week is a whole new ballgame when you have worked for 6 months straight (since Christmas) and boy does it make you grateful for a relaxing week with nothing but a book and the waves. I am so grateful for such a wonderful family to spend that time with. Have a great Wednesday!
